carbonara ala pizza uno recipe

heee hari ni extra rajin pulak nak update blog :p

actually i just wanna share this recipe. i finally got it! tastewise i think 80% laaa lebih kurang ngan pizza uno. sapa penah makan pizza uno ja tahu rasa dia mcm mana. jangan compare pulak ngan restoran kat german ke italy ke k? oooopss

easy peasy kacang pis ja resipi dia. secret ingredient rupanya the CREAM tu ja. it's NESTLE ORIGINAL CREAM! i bot it kat presto citta mall & kat herbs & food pun ada :) u may use other brand tapiiiiiiii i can't guarantee your carbonara tu rasa sama tak ngan my carbonara :p

aidan's birthday cake

good morning. how's your weekend everybody?raya dah habis..so it's time to slimkan badan balik. muahahahha :p
previous post i lupa nak mention kat mana i tempah aidan's cake kan? normally i tempah cakes kat http://jays-cakes.blogspot.com/ . she's good but this time i tempah kat tempat lain. heeeee
my friend, Sari yang introduce. i love his red velvet & butterscotch cakes. sumpah sedap tak tipu. macarons punnnnnnn sedap sangat. hari tu i've ordered cake: butterscotch, rv & choc.

buttermilk chicken & buttermilk prawn

I've cooked buttermilk chicken few month back tapi i'm sooo frustated with the result T_T
Tak sedap macam kat gold chili. dahla cepat muak. If pegi gold chili I selalu mintak buttermilk chicken with extra gravy cos nak hirup the sauce. tp my version hampehhhh huhuhu. rupa-rupanya i salah resipi :p

Well, second time I try buat buttermilk I guna resipi my dearest friend, Sari. hehehhe thank you babe :x: andddddddddddd surprise..surprise.. lebih kurang ja rasa cam kat gold chili. hehhehehe YAY! tapi this time i guna prawns.

sushi hangover

I know I should avoid sashimi and sushi during pregnancy (READ: CAN YOU EAT SUSHI DURING PREGNANCY?)  but I really couldn't help it! :( masa aidan dulu I boleh control lagi, but this time tak boleh nak control coz i takda selera nak makan benda lain.

Set yang I selalu makan kat Rakuzen tu selalunya dalam range RM30-RM58. ada  few slices of  sakae, maguro and kampachi/hamaci sashimi, a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi, fruits, and  my hot ocha is FREE. sometimes i amik yang ada unagi. one day tu, i konon-konon nak berjimat cermat so i pergila beli some sushi kat jaya grocer's @ empire. pilih-pilih end up total dalam rm50.errrr for sushi only :( takkan i nak letak balik kan? dah dekat counter. tapi dalam hati tu cakap ish baik la gi makan Rakuzen.huhuhu

The sushi was okayyyy but sadly i threw up and got very sick after eating their sushi. Til today i dah tak teringin dah nak makan sushi or sashimi. fobia!!! tapi kan I rasa lah maybe the one that I bought kat Jaya Grocer's tu tak fresh that's why i muntah kot kan or maybe I dah sushi overdose :-(

golden fragrance

semalam mood masak datang lagi. sebabnya..the day before tu tertengok master.chef. diorang kena masak mussels. i tak jumpa mussels so i beli je la lala.same la tu family clams jugak kan? :p
selalunya if kitorang pegi makan kat devils crab or uptown mesti akan order kam heong lala or siput buluh. suka sangat coz rasa dia manis & pedas cili padi+curry. so semalam i try la buat kam heong lala ni. recipe i amik kat dis blog  http://lilyng2000.blogspot.com/
The word “Kam Heong” literally means Golden Fragrance. It really does light-up the smelling senses and tastes great. A profusion of smells from the key ingredients - curry leaves, curry powder, dried shrimps, shallots, garlic, and chilies.

Ingredients:

1 lb clams - if fresh - soak in salt water for 1 hr and drain dry - if frozen, do not thaw
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp dried prawns, soaked & chopped
3 sprigs curry leaves
10 shallots, chopped
10 chilli padi chopped
Seasoning
1/2 tsp taucheong/mein see/fermented soya bean paste
1 tbsp fish curry powder
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp light soya sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dark soya sauce
dash of chicken stock granules

Steps :-)
  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil and saute dried prawns until fragrant.
  2. Add in curry leaves, shallots, chilli padi and stir-fry until aromatic.
  3. Add in the lala, seasonings and stir fry at high heat until well mixed.
  4. Cover with a lid, cook for 2 minutes until clams/la la are opened.
  5. Stir to mix all the ingredients together.  Do this for about 3-4mins.
  6. Remove from heat to be served immediately.
by the way, if lala takde, you bley jugak tukar guna udang ke, ketam ke :-)

sambal udang terung pipit kak jee

ye ye dapur saya memang dah lama tak berasap. ada orang tu dah merajuk dah suruh bagi sewa je dapur tu kat orang. huhuhu nak amik hati orang tu kenala masak makanan favourite dia :-p
so far i dah few times masak sambal udang terung pipit tapi semua macam so so je rasa. but last week i try buat guna resipi KAK JEE, memang sedap.macam makan kat kedai plak rasa. cewahhh hehehe yahooooooo thank you kak jee.

BAHAN-BAHANNYA

14 ekor udang besar 
¾ mangkuk cili kisar
1 labu bawang besar (i tumbuk half, half lagi i cut in ringlets) 
2 ulas bawang putih
1 inci belacan 

terung pipit (dicelur. ikut suka banyak mana)
½ cawan air asam jawa
minyak untuk menumis


CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)

Udang dibersihkan. Toskan airnya. Tumbuk(i blend je) bawang besar, bawang putih dan belacan. Tumis bahan2 tumbuk hingga wangi. Kemudian masukkan cili kisar dan goreng hingga terbit minyak. Guna api sederhana.Apabila cili sudah cukup garing, masukkan masukkan air asam jawa, biarkan mendidih seketika kemudian masukkan udang. Golek2 sampai udang nampak sudah masak pastu padam api. Kalau masak terlalu lama, udang jadi keras. Kemudian masukkan juga terung pipit dan garam, juga sedikit gula.

shortcut

yuhuuu.semalam i masak ikan tiga rasa for dinner :-) tapi i masak guna cara shortcut je. nak cepat .heheh my mum beli dis perencah ikan tiga rasa masa balik kelate aritu. sedap. tapi kat KL ni xjumpa plak perencah tu :-(

serious senang. tak payah nak alter dah. ikot ja arahan kat plastic tu. 100% confirm jadi. just goreng ikan tu sampai garing (apa-apa ikan pon boleh. i guna ikan siakap). oh before tu marinade la dulu ikan tu ngan garam. ala cket je. bagi rasa je. sambil goreng ikan tu, u prepare la the sauce. tumis perencah then tarok bawang, tomato & pineapple (saya xda pineapple). pastu tarok atas ikan tu. hias cket dengan daun ketumbar. wallaaa siap pon ikan tiga rasa i. tak yah susah susah gi restoran siam. guna ja perencah ikan tiga rasa BIBI  ni kekekekke 

ikan tiga rasa segera :-p

ish my lil aidan ni sekarang da susah la nak amik gambar. dah takley  nak dok diam. hmm lagi lagi kalau dia dah perasan kita ni nak amik gambar dia *geram*

youtube recipes

dang! i ni dari last week lagi dok teringat kat pavlova. nak order sebijik macam banyak la pulak kan.  tengok recipe macam senang. tapi errr. i fobia sikitlah nak try baking ni. i penah buat brownies 3 tahun lepas and hasilnya keras macam batu. baling kat anjing pon bley pengsan. huhuhu  my hubby sampai hari ni okay dok perli pasal brownies keras tu *gerammmm*

i prefer serai's pavlova coz i think alexis's meringue is way too sweet for me. mengada betol. mengidam kalah orang pregnant! hmmph

by the way, yesterday i masak pla meuk neung ma-nao. first time try kat Seafood Market, Bangkok. selalu dok makan sotong celup tepung je. so my abah suruh try pulak steamed squid with lime, chili ni. sedap! i jumpa this recipe kat amporn's blog so i give it a try. since both of us suka makan pedas, i add more chilis to this recipe.

hehehe nampak macam makan kat restoran kan? *perasan* i also cooked khai jeow (thai omelette) and nam prik kapi (sambal belacan thai). first time i berjaya buat telur dadar fluffy & crispy! thank you youtube!ni resipi nya


faham ke tak? 3 biji telur, 1 tbs tepung gogi, 1 tbs fish sauce, 1 tbs kicap, 1 tbs lime sauce, 1 tsp gula. then goreng dalam kuali panas panas.ni resipi nam prik kapi pulak


i prefer my hubby punya sambal belacan. lagi DA BOMB :p

nutella butterscotch bread pudding with choc chips


this is another new recipe that i've just tried. hari ahad tu i dok google google recipes then i teringat my friend penah post gambar of her nutella bread pudding kat fb. i mintak the recipe from her tp dia just bagitau i roughly the ingredients, no sukatan watsoever. heheheh untuk orang baru belajar macam i ni, confirmla tak menjadi if guna recipe tanpa sukatan :p

btw, recipe ni i google then i combinekan dengan resipi puding roti my mum. it was delicious!tak ley bla la puji diri sendiri kan seriously, my hubby who doesn't have quite the sweet tooth like me pon suka.
Ingredients:
Unsalted butter, for baking dish
6 slices of butterscotch bread
Nutella
choc chips
2 cups fresh milk or you can also use chocolate milk
3 eggs
5 tbs sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence

Steps :-)
  1. Preheat oven to 170C
  2. Spread the Nutella on all your bread slices, then put 2 slices together to make 3 sandwiches. Cut each sandwich into cubes and toss them into the baking dish together with some choc chips
  3. Place milk in a saucepan and stir gently over medium heat. 
  4. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla essence then whisk in the heated milk.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes in the baking dish, pressing down with the back of a spoon and make sure that all the bread gets submerged and starts soaking in the custard.
  6. Soak for 15 minutes and then put the baking dish in the oven. Bake until the filling is set and the top is crusted, about 25 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla custard sauce or vanilla ice cream :p

yahoo! sotong kunyit ku menjadi

title memang takley bla kan. heheh so funny that bulan puasa ni la time i nak google and try resipi "baru". bulan puasa my hubby tak suka sangat makan kat luar. nak taknak kena la masak. i selalu google pastu tengok gambar tu menarik ke tak. and i akan baca reviews and comments. tak payah beli buku recipe mahal-mahal tapi ade jugak terbeli beberapa buku resipi :p 

believe it or not! i tak pernah masak pon sotong kunyit. ish ish..malu je kan? ingat ke susah sangat. kekeke rupa-rupanya easy peasy lemon squeezy! i dapat resipi from blog che mat gebu :D

my sotong goreng kunyit
BAHAN-BAHANNYA
3 ekor sotong saiz sederhana, cuci bersih potong bulat atau ikut suka
6 tangkai kacang panjang, kerat2 lebih kurang 2 inci setiap satu (i guna kacang buncis)
5 biji cili padi merah, diketuk
2 camca besar sos ikan
1/2 camca teh serbuk kunyit
1 biji bawang besar, hiris
3 ulas bawang putih, dititik
1 camca besar sos tiram
Sedikit garam dan gula (i tak tarok garam/gula coz dah tarok sos ikan & sos tiram)
Hirisan daun sup sebagai hiasan (takde daun sup, ganti ngan tomato hiris bulat)

CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)
  1. Sotong ditoskan kering2, gaul dengan serbuk kunyit dan sedikit garam. Panaskan minyak dalam kuali tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih hingga harum, masukkan cili padi dan sos tiram, kacau rata.
  2. Tambah sotong dan juga kacang panjang tadi. Masukkan sos ikan, kacau rata dan masak hingga kacang lembut tapi masih rangup. Rasa dan jika perlu letak sedikit gula dan garam. Masak sekejap dan angkat. Tabur dengan hirisan daun sup sebelum dihidangkan.

sahur

assalamualaikum,
salam ramadhan. today is the third day of ramadhan, masih belum terlambat lagi nak wish selamat berpuasa kepada semua muslimin muslimat & di bulan mulia ni selamat beribadah juge ya. kurangkan bergosip please. rugi je pahala puasa tu ;p

this year's ramadhan agak mencabar cket for me coz i still fully bf my lil aidan and i have ZERO frozen ebms. yes, ZERO! so nak taknak i cannot skip my pumping session. cannot malas-malas (will blog about breastfeeding & fasting later) 

but the best part of this year's ramadhan is ..... ada budak kecik ni teman kami bersahur. papa & mama bersahur, dia pon nak bersahur jugak, habis 3 keping biskut pulak tu. heeee

puding karamel nani rostam

assalamualaikum :)

hehe. last nite dengan bangganya i berjaya buat puding karamel for dessert. my first attempt ok. sekali buat dah menjadi siapa tak happy kan? recipe puding karamel ni actually banyak gila keluar if search kat google. pilih je yang mana berkenan di hati. as for me, i berkenan kat recipe nani rostam

puding karamel ni boleh dikatakan my top 10 favourite dessert. so bila tengok resipi ni macam senang je, terusla excited nak cuba buat sendiri :D




i takda loyang bulat besar tu :( tu yang guna cups cupcake je.whateverla cantik jugak kan guna cups tu. ceh! perasan :o yay! now i ada alasan nak beli loyang.kekekeke :p




ok sila jangan comparekan my puding karamel tu dengan orang yang dah 20 tahun buat puding karamel ye. but seriously puding karamel resipi nani rostam ni sedaaaaap sangat!i tak tipu.kenala cuba buat sendiri kalau nak tahu ;)

singapore chilli crabs prawns

i love love love chilli crabs. lagi lagi chilli crab kat devil's crab then dip it with fried mantou. oh yums!! so when i saw one of my relatives in singapore upload these photos on her facebook, i knew it right away that this recipe is a must try for me. i am sooo happy bila i found out that i can also use prawns instead kekeke sebenarnya i tak reti nak siang ketam! whateverlah nanti nanti lah i belajar siang ketam ngan my mom :p




by the way, the singapore chili prawns were really quick and easy to make and they turned out great! The sweet, hot and sour tomato sauce was so tasty and it went really well with the succulent prawns. I liked this dish so much that I have already made it a second time :D

Ingredients
(Serves 2-3)

12 large prawns (shelled, deveined, scored on back)
1 large onion (cut in ringlets)
2 tbs tamarind extract
3 tbs tomato sauce aka ketchup
salt & sugar
1 sprig of coriander (chopped for garnishing only)

in a blender/food processor, blitz together these ingredients until it is paste-like:-

1 large onion
10 dried chillies
8 cloves garlic
2 stalk lemongrass
1 tsp shrimp paste
1" ginger
1 tbs fennel seeds (jintan manis)

Preparation

1. Heat 2-3tbs oil in a wok or shallow saucepan
2. Add onion and stir-fry until it becomes slightly browned
3. Add and fry the blended ingredients till fragrant
4. Add tomato sauce
5. Toss in the prawns & tamarind extract and give it a good stir
6. Season with salt & sugar
7. Garnish with coriander before serving
my s'pore chilli prawn. serve immediately with steamed rice/fried mantou :)

macaroons at laduree!

the best macaroons definitely HAVE to be purchased at laduree cafe. they sell the BEST macaroons IN THE WORLD! no kidding!! sape yang berpeluang pegi london or paris tu, please please please i beg you to try these laduree macaroons! try sebijik pon jadi la

kat london,laduree ni ada kat harrods & burlington arcade. my friend cakap if beli dekat laduree paris the taste is 5 times lagi sedap than laduree @ harrods. hmmm i cannot imagine that coz yang i try kat burlington arcade ni pon dah sedap gila! tak sama la ngan macaroons kat kl tu. i dah try kat empire whisk & serai.macam langit & bumi :( huhuhu harga pon macam langit & bumi, whisk jual rm1.80 each, serai's rm3.50 each, laduree's £1.60=rm8 each*pengsan*

gold chilli's butter chicken

huhuhu this is another cool place which i've been to for a few times. mostly sape yang dok subang  ni tahu kat mana restoran gold chilli ni kan? their butter chicken is DA BOMB!!! heheh i ni selalu je citer pasal makan  kan, if tak pasal makan pasal aidan. haha suka hati i lah :p

i penah try jugak butter chicken kat strawberry field. bluek tak sedap lansung ok. sila jangan gatal-gatal nak order! i try sebab masa tu i pregnant & i ngidam butter chicken gold chilli tp my hubby malas nak bawak gi sana. ramai sangat orang kata nya.huhu sabar je lah.

but seriously, kat gold chilli ni...once u  dah try, anda pasti akan teringat teringat dan termimpi-mimpi. sebab itula restoran ni sentiasa ja penuh. dah la penuh, semua akan order benda sama, which is nasi putih & butter chicken. padahal menu dia banyak lagi. RM8 je butter chicken tu. if u nak gravy lebih  kena bayar rm2 extra.yumsss! haha i tulis ni pon dah telan air liur.by the way, i suka pegi pukul 12pm. coz time tu tak ramai orang lagi. baru bukak. try la pegi pukul empat onwards hahaha jangan harap la boleh duduk terus. ramai betol orang. apparently gold chilli ni dah jadi tempat "happening" teenagers lepak lepak with friends and dating. sabar je la. dah la tempat ni kecik je. jadi tempat lepak lepak plak. haiyooooh! 

hmmmmmm now i think i am craving for their butter chicken. AGAIN!. rasa macam nak gi tapaw  for my lunch. tapi kena gi 2 orang la. susah nak dapat parking kat ss15 tu. tension betol :(

carbonara :(

i loooooove pasta. tak kesah la pasta apa pon. i just love it. i'm lucky coz my hubby pon suka jugak pasta. so whenever i rasa malas nak masak nasi i'll cook pasta & he's okay with it :)

erm,by the way have u ever tried fettuccine ala carbonara @ pizza uno? oh em geeee, it's the most DELICIOUS carbonara i've ever tasted. it's creamy, cheesy & tak tahulah nak describe betapa sedapnya rasa carbonara pizza uno :( yes!! it's menggemokkan but i don't care!!

boleh tak aritu i masak carbonara ni, then i tanya my hubby sedap tak. dia jawab "okay la tapi rasa tak sama pon cam pizza uno" tsk! compare ngan pizza uno.memanglah i punya tu tak sedap!! :(

huwaaaaa dah 4 kali try buat carbonara ni. semua different recipes. semua tak sesedap pizza uno. haih...sakitnyaaa hati. rasa nak mintak jeee resipi carbonara ni kat chef dia. hmmmm tapi macamlah dia nak bagi kan? :( macam mana nihhhhh?? sapa-sapa boleh tolong bagi recipe?

spicy seafood aglio olio

I guess this is by far the easiest recipe I've ever tried ! It wouldn't take longer than 30 minutes to prepare and cook. Trust me!! Tak percaya? Kenala cuba sendiri ;p




Ingredients
(Serves 2)

Spaghetti for 2 pax
12 medium shrimps/prawns (shells & veins removed)
3 medium squids (cleaned & cut it in ringlets)
100g of mussels
2 tbs minced garlic
5 tbs olive oil
2 tbs dried parsley
2 tbs bird's eye chilis / cili padi (optional)
2 tbs chili flakes (optional)
salt

Preparation

1. Add some olive oil and salt to a pot of water, and boil the pasta until al dente. drain & set aside
2. Heat olive oil in a pan & stir fry the minced garlic under low heat till golden brown
3. Add in the seafood (be careful not to overcook!!)
4. Toss in the pasta and stir evenly.
5. Season with salt, chili flakes, bird's eye chilis and stir well.
6. Garnish with dried parsley before serving

Senang kan? heheheh. sesuailah untuk orang-orang malas busy, konon takda masa like me :p Quick and easy to make & absolutely delicious!!

banana and recipes

I gave Aidan a lil bit of mashed banana and farley's rusk biscuits last friday. He loved it tapi..........lepas makan tu he had stomach flu :( sorry aidan. Mama wont give you bananas anymore. Tunggu aidan dah besar sket la baru bagi bananas plak k. Kesian tengok aidan kena diaper rash T.T sorry sorry sorry. 

I really really really hope aidan tak allergic to pisang. sangat sangat rugilah nanti tak ley nak makan goreng pisang azmi!!,  pengat pisang or my favourite sira pisang :p

Btw, semalam I cooked grilled lamb with black pepper sauce, salads and mashed potatoes. for dinner. black pepper sauce tu I buat from scratch coz I don't have any stok brown sauce kat rumah ni. malas nak keluar. so guna je lah apa yang ada. huhu. I jumpa resipi kat sini tapi I alter sket ikot my own citarasa. not bad. sedapla jugak. rasa macam kat uptown tu je.hehe :)


recipe #1: grilled lamb with black pepper sauce, salads & cheddar mashed potatoes.

*marinate lamb with 1 tbs mustard,1 tbs hp brown sauce &1 tbs lea perrin sauce (1 hr)
*after 1 hr, grill atas pan je, up to you lah, u nak medium ke well done :) oh, i use olive oil sket. konon-kononnya sebagai fat-burning metabolism. eat fat lose fat :p 

black pepper sauce
3 tbs butter
4 tbs flour
150ml air
150ml low fat milk 
1 chicken stock cube
3 tbs dark soy sauce
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 bayleaf
3 tbs crushed peppercorns

* cairkan butter & masuk kan flour. kacau sampai mendidih. then masukkan ingredients lain. masak   sampai pekat. if pekat sangat bleh je tambah sket air/susu lagi :)

cheddar mashed potatoes
3 potatoes, peeled & cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup heated milk
2 tbs butter
1 pcs cheddar cheese
dash of dried parsley
salt & pepper to taste

* cook potatoes in boiling water until tender. Remove from heat. Mash, adding 1/2 cup milk & butter. Add cheese, parsley, salt & pepper.  Beat with spoon, add remaining milk until desired consistency is reached.

:) so okaylah, selamat mencuba. hehehe

a yee sang dinner

Happy belated CNY! huhu dah habis Chap Goh Meh baru teringat nak wish CNY :p ni gara-gara last weekend we all had Yee Sang for our  family dinner @ Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant. I never ever tasted Yee Sang before. hehe ingat ke tak halal benda alah ni :p Yee Sang is actually a Chinese raw fish salad. The main ingredients of this salad include slices of raw salmon, pickled fruits & vegetables, crackers, carrots, pamelos, roasted peanuts and a variety of sauces and condiments.

The best part in eating Yee Sang is when all of us had to toss the ingredients with our chopsticks together. The higher the toss, the higher your fortune growth! (ye ke? kekeke kitorang takda la toss tinggi tinggi pon). I really love how all the ingredients mixed creating the perfect taste. Crunchy and soft at the same time. Lovely!

pap smear test & thai food

Ehem ladies....have you done your pap smear test? I did mine yesterday @ my famous obgyn Prof Dato' Dr Hamid Arshat. For those yang tak tahu anything about pap smear, its actually a harmless screening test for cervical cancer. Read here for further explanation. 

Sakit tak? Tak sakit pun, just a lil discomfort kejap. I pon mula-mula takot jugak, hehe lagi-lagi baru lepas bersalin. Traumanya masih belom hilang. Trauma punya pasal, I empat kali cancel my appointment :p malu jerrr. Before nak buat tu pon I tanya lagi kat Prof sakit tak. hahaha. I siap suruh my sis teman kay, mane tahu kot kot lepas buat pap smear tu sakit sangat sampai takley nak drive.kekeke Anyway, sape yang tak buat lagi pap smear tu sila la buat. Tak mahal pon. If gi klinik kerajaan, RM 1 je if nak buat kat Klinik Dr Hamid Arshat ni RM30 pap smear + rm60 consultation fee :) It is important to remember that prevention is  always better than cure.

Now,let's talk about thai food! I loooooooooove thai food, who doesn't kan? Pegi lah mana-mana pon kat dunia ni for sure you can find thai food easily. I love their tom yam, steamed fish, nam prik, hor mok talay, thai salads, thab thim krob, thai fried banana, etc. Trust me, I can eat thai food everyday.heeeee tapi tak mampulah nak pegi makan kat restoran thai tu setiap hari :( So what did I do if I dah start craving for thai food???? I cook them.heeeeeee :) 

Thank You Ms Amporn Oleski for your lovely thai recipes. It is superbly delicious & easy for newbie like me to learn. I've already tried 3 of her recipes & I definitely can't wait to try more.
